Operation Lifesaver Rail Safety Week 2006

OTTAWA – Public safety campaign Operation Lifesaver and its partners will launch their 2006 national Rail Safety Public Awareness Week on April 24. The aim of the week is to help reduce crossing collisions and trespassing incidents along Canada’s railways in communities across the country.

Operation Lifesaver Is Rolling These Days

OTTAWA – OLEV, the Operation Lifesaver education vehicle, has launched its 2006 campaign to save lives and reduce injuries along Canada’s railways by “marching” in the St. Patrick’s Day parades in Ottawa and Montreal.
The specially-equipped mobile classroom has rolled more than 75,000 kilometres since its launch in mid-2004, and participated actively in 88 community events.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Montreal

Montreal – Operation Lifesaver’s mobile classroom and a class full of leprechauns got into the spirit of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Montreal Sunday to deliver a message of safety to people of all ages at crossings and around trains, all colours of trains, as they snake across the country.
