In 1994 (the earliest statistics available) 111 people died in Canada due to rail-crossing or trespassing incidents. In 2008, there were 73 fatalities. For 2009 we are tracking on par with 2008 for trespassing incidents and slightly below for rail-crossing accidents, however fatalities are yet to be reported.

These statistics measure our progress towards our goals, but our stance is simple – even one incident is one too many.
