Operation Lifesaver closely tracks rail safety data on crossing collisions, trespassing incidents, fatalities and serious injuries. Behind the stats are real people – those killed or injured and rail workers scarred or worse by the incidents they see. Our goal is to prevent collisions between trains and motor vehicles. We also work to prevent trespassing incidents that lead to serious injury or death. The statistics below measure our progress towards those goals, but our stance is simple – even one incident is one too many.
