Serious injuries down in March 2019
When it comes to railway incidents statistics, zero is a good thing. And that makes March 2019 a good month.
In March 2019, not one Canadian was seriously injured in a railway crossing incident or as the result of trespassing. That’s an improvement over the year before when seven people were seriously injured in these types of incidents.
Unfortunately, the statistics for March 2019 weren’t all good news. Two people lost their lives at railway crossings or in trespassing incidents.
Let’s work together to get this number to zero too. Help us spread the rail safety message—because virtually every railway crossing or trespassing incident is preventable.
