February 2021: A tragic month for trespassing incidents in Canada

February was a deadly month when it comes to railway trespassing incidents. Five Canadians lost their lives trespassing on railway tracks or property. Another person was seriously injured.

The tragic part is that every one of these incidents could have been prevented.

Don’t be a railway statistic—stay clear of tracks

Staying safe around railway tracks is all about knowing the rail safety rules. Never walk, cycle or drive along railway tracks, or use them as a shortcut. Only cross tracks at designated crossings, and always obey all railway warning signs and devices—they save lives.
