2016 rail safety review: trespassing incidents on the rise

The numbers are in and 2016 saw an alarming rise in railway trespassing injuries and fatalities in Canada. We’ll be working hard with our volunteers and partners to remind Canadians that train tracks are not the place for a stroll with your earbuds in, a selfie with your friends, or the setting for your next movie. And we need your help – start by sharing the message of rail safety with your friends and family. It’s simple… when you see someone doing something dangerous near the tracks, step in and ring home this message loud and clear: Stay Off the Tracks or you could be the next railway fatality statistic—and who wants that? No one.
