Help Us Save Lives: Become a Rail Safety Ambassador Today
For more than 35 years, Operation Lifesaver has been working to save lives by educating Canadians about the hazards surrounding railway property and trains. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why we are looking to Canadians from coast to coast to join our cause by becoming
Rail Safety Ambassadors.
Our Rail Safety Ambassadors are Canadians who share our belief that every rail-related death or injury can—and should—be prevented. They help get our message out to the public through social media and by taking part in Operation Lifesaver events.
“Operation Lifesaver already produces and distributes great content about railway safety. But we need more champions to get that content out to Canadians,” explains Sarah Mayes, Operation Lifesaver Canada’s National Director. “Creating a network of rail safety champions will help us build a community we can call on to spread the word about future safety initiatives—saving lives in the process.”
Whether by sharing our blog posts and tweets on your social media networks, giving presentations in classrooms or volunteering at events, you can help—and we need you. There is a role for everyone when it comes to preventing collisions at railway crossings and reducing the number of railway trespassing incidents in Canada.
So, get on board!
Sign up to be a Rail Safety Ambassador and start helping Operation Lifesaver to save lives.
