A move in the right direction: Trespassing incidents and fatalities down in May 2017

If the stats are any indication, Canadians are starting to heed our “look, listen, live” message. The number of deaths and injuries stemming from incidents of trespassing on railway property dropped by more than half in May 2017 compared with the previous May. But when it comes to trespassing statistics, the only good number is zero. Remember, whether you are using train tracks as a quick way home, or as the perfect backdrop for a selfie, trespassing on railway property is never a good idea—and it could be a shortcut to serious injury or even death.
