February 2018 Railway Stats: A Bleak Month at Railway Crossings
February was definitely not a good month for railway crossing incidents in Canada. The number of both serious injuries and fatalities increased significantly across the country compared with the previous year.
In February 2017, not one person was seriously injured or killed at a railway crossing in Canada. But last month, 6 people were injured and 2 lost their lives.
Let’s work together to get these numbers down to zero—because every rail-related death is preventable.
