Good news: Rail incidents deaths down in January 2018
The first rail incident statistics of 2018 are in—and we are happy to say things are heading in the right direction. Although injuries at railway crossing were up slightly in January 2018 compared to January 2017, the good news is that the number of deaths are down.
Not one Canadian died as the result of trespassing on railway property or tracks in January, and the number of people who lost their lives at railway crossings is down by half.
