A deadly end to Summer 2019

August 2019 was a deadly month for railway crossing and trespassing incidents. Seven Canadians were killed trespassing on tracks or railway property; another two died in crossings incidents. That’s almost double the number of fatalities that occurred in August 2018.

Remember, railway tracks are not meant for pedestrians—they’re for trains. Never use tracks as a shortcut, only cross at designated crossings and always obey all railway warning signs and signals. Watch our #STOPTrackTragedies videos to see the tragic consequences of not following these simple rules.

Don’t be another statistic. Heed OL’s motto: Look. Listen. Live. It’s a simple message, but one that can save lives.
