Rail Safety Ambassador Program

The Rail Safety Ambassador Program recruits Canadians across the country to help spread the word about rail safety. Creating this network of rail safety supporters is critical to increasing awareness and saving lives.

Everyone has a role to play when it comes to increasing safety awareness. Together we can make a difference. Are you ready to get on board?

Two Ways to Help

Get Involved on Social Media

As an online Rail Safety Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in helping us get the word out by sharing Operation Lifesaver’s blogs, videos and other posts with your social networks. You may also be asked to contribute information or feedback on upcoming initiatives.

How to Participate

To become an online Rail Safety Ambassador, simply fill out and submit the form below. After reviewing your information, we will send you an invitation to join our Rail Safety Ambassadors’ Facebook group and/or a link to resources for Twitter users.

Online Guidelines

We expect online Rail Safety Ambassadors to follow three guidelines.

  1. Keep it positive. Ambassadors posting offensive content (e.g. violent, sexual or hateful comments) will be asked to leave the program.
  2. Strive for accuracy. We invite you to add your own context when posting our content. However, it’s important that you communicate accurate safety content. See next point.
  3. Ask for guidance. If you’re unsure whether a post is appropriate or accurate, we encourage you to get in touch.
